Oniey is born and bred in a small town- Harding, in South Africa. She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology and later pursued her Honours degree with the University of South Africa. Her passion lies in human development and researching social issues. She has worked as a research assistant with a leading research institute in South Africa and has participated in workshops tackling social issues like those facilitated by the African Gender Institute. She is a proud graduate of the Fit for life, Fit for work development programme and this program re-ignited her passion of working with young people. Professionally she has a background in marketing and leadership training. On the lighter side of life, she enjoys socializing, reading and creating meaningful experiences. At Emzingo, she supports the academic implementation of programs in South Africa and she really enjoys being part of the process of preparing the next generation of responsible leaders.
